WHAT TO EXPECT

Before your cupping session it is advised that you do not eat for at least 2 hours. Fluids such as water or hot drinks are permitted.

The cupping sessions are not painful. The amount of suction applied will be altered depending on the area cupped and the patients comfort.

Wet cupping involves tiny superficial scratches on the surface of the skin NOT incisions/cuts deep into the skin.

All equipment used is single use, sterile and disposable. Each session will last between 30-60 minutes (dependant on treatment). The number of cups used will depend on the treatment as advised.

Prices range from £45 for a comprehensive detox to £65 for a full body session. For fertility and other specialist medical consultations an additional fee will apply, please discuss with Dr Choudry when booking your appointment.

The clinic provides treatment in a relaxing setting with emphasis on high professional standards of care, safety and hygiene.

After cupping there is usually a painless ring/mark where the cup has been placed. This skin discoloration is not permanent and will last for several days before fading and disappearing.

For wet cupping there may be some itching as the skin heals but there should not be any permanent marks on the skin. 100% pure Black seed oil will be massaged onto the area after the cupping to promote healing.

It is advised not to take a hot bath/shower immediately after cupping.

Avoid aggressive exercise for 24 hours afterwards.

Drink plenty of fluids afterwards.

Dry Cupping and Massage Cupping can be done at any time and interval.

Wet cupping to treat a specific condition or to follow the Sunnah is advised at intervals of 4-5 weeks. The number of sessions advised depends on the condition being treated. This should be discussed with your cupping practitioner.
